Javier Vicencio

I attended the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and my photographic journey began in 1996 when I joined the staff at UTEP’s student newspaper.    

In 2000 I became a staff photographer for UTEP’s Communications Department after receiving my bachelor’s degree in Communications.

In 2004 I became a freelance photographer and in 2008 my wife Claudia and I moved to Dallas, Texas where I worked for several photography companies.    

In 2022 I completed my Master's Degree in Documentary Photography from LaBasad and started contracting for the photo agency ZUMA Press and Orion Photo Group.
